Can you provide allergy information?

Our products are made in an environment where peanuts, tree nuts, soy, wheat, dairy and eggs are used, but those ingredients are not necessarily in each product. Please contact us for specific information. 

How should chocolate be stored?

The chocolate should be stored in a dry, cool place, approximately 65 degrees Fahrenheit, well-wrapped, and away from other odors.  Chocolate will absorb surrounding odors.

We do not recommend refrigeration, but if you find that you do not have proper storage for the chocolate or need to hold it slightly longer than the recommended shelf life, place the boxed chocolates in an air-tight wrapper and refrigerate. When ready to use, remove from refrigerator and allow the box to come to room temperature before unwrapping to avoid condensation forming. 

When are orders shipped?

To ensure freshness, we make items to order whenever possible.  Orders will be shipped within 48 hours of order.  Please allow an extra 48 hours during peak season for your order to be processed. If you have any questions about shipping your package, please contact us at 513.374.2668 or  

Do you ship over weekends?

If you are shipping a package to a warm weather destination over a weekend, your package may be held until the following Monday to ensure minimal time in transit. USPS is our preferred shipping vendor and they do not deliver on weekends to all areas. 

Do you ship chocolates during warmer months?

We would like to ensure that you receive your package in the same condition it left us.  For this reason, we highly recommend you choose to have your item sent 2nd Day Air or Next Day Air during the warmer months or when shipping to a warm climate. We strongly recommend purchasing "Cold Pack Shipping" when shipping to areas near or above 70 degrees.  We cannot guarantee any package shipped without cold pack shipping when the temperature exceeds 70 degrees. 

What is the return policy?

We love our chocolates and we love to see our customers smile. Whether you are the lucky recipient or the thoughtful gift giver, we want to ensure that you are 100% satisfied with our products. Our chocolate is made in small batches, shipped fresh and packaged with care. Anything you get from Clayton's Candies is guaranteed to arrive at your doorstep in excellent condition.
